  • New property?

I just bought a 2 acres and boy is it beating me to death!

Gophers are all over the place. Big hills of I guess gophers digging up dirt. I have to creep along very slowly and it still beats me and my mower to death. I have put out some insect and grub killer.

How in the heck can I get it to smooth out so I can mow it?

Controlling your gopher issue would be the first thing to do.
If eliminating the food supply isn't enough, then you'll have to trap them.

The hole will eventually even out as the lawn is irrigated either by you, or Mother nature.

License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case the enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

I have covered the 2 acres with grub killer and gassed the gopher holes and placed poison peanuts all over. Anything else?

It is chopped up, never mowed anything that bounces my mower! It's unreal..

I think I am going to rent one of those big rollers and try that. Any ideas?
