Have about 12 acres I'm cutting. Lots of trees and flower beds.

I am looking at the "Next Lazer Z AS" with a 23hp Kohler V Twin, 52" Ultra Cut Series 4 Deck.

Dealer wants $7499.00.

Does this sound about right?

Am Very open to suggestions and opinions.

yep sounds like about the right price to me.

question, are you buying this mower just for this property or will it be helpful on other propertys, meaning will the business support the price of this mower.

if not then i would suggest renting a mower for this property. i've only been in the business 3 years but i have yet to hear of anyone buying a new mower just for one property. maybe it happens though who knows.

You can cut flower beds with a mower if there aint any rocks.

Yes I intend to pick up more property. I have two more lined up to start very soon. So far I have 3 lawns and the only advertising has been word of mouth.

12 acres? You'll evidently want a large deck. I'd recommend a deck of no less than 60" if you envision keeping with larger properties. However a 60" deck have no business on a small lawn (unless it's a **** pit).

I'd look for a good used unit to start out with. No sense in putting all your eggs into one basket. Renting a mower should not be an option, forget Sport said that. :alien:
