What? You're making little sense. I'm thinking you're talking about them pictures I posted again. Sammy is talking about my kolledge edumakation.Originally posted by roost-1 View PostI'm gonna have to agree with sammy. There is nothing there to charge for. If you charge them for anything youre are rip off.
Rip-off? Oh, like employing a person or two, paying them $10/hour, and then writing them off at the end of the year as a sub-contractor. You're one to speak.

I just had to laugh a little at this. Down here in Tampa we look forward to 85 degree days!Originally posted by spotremix View Postthat only usually happens on 85+ degree days though. i might run the string trimmer then stop for a drink of water or mow the front yard and get a drink before i head to the back. .
My breaks are when I am back in the truck driving to the next account!

Hehehehe....85 degrees? Yeah right. It's 85 by 9:30 or 10:00a.m. at the latest. We've been seeing 100-107 degree temps since June almost every day. You would die from heat stroke down here.Originally posted by spotremix View Postthis busten ass thing MM could be more true than some think or know. i have not clue how hard he works, if he's even telling the truth or not.
i know my work ethic and how hard i work. i certainly could do as many in a day's time as MM does. i work hard but i try to never over exert myself. i work all day long at a comfortable pace for me. sure i bust a sweat but if i get winded and need to stop and get a drink i will do so even in the middle of working. that only usually happens on 85+ degree days though. i might run the string trimmer then stop for a drink of water or mow the front yard and get a drink before i head to the back. i keep myself comfortable is the point.

Takes smarts to survive I guess? 85* isn't hot, even with high humidity. :alien::alien::alien:
now the florida boys do work in warmer weather than i'm use to. mid 90's is about as hot as it usually gets in my neck of the woods. i can handle it but i do keep myself more hydrated than on kooler days.

I am just curious, how old are you? If you are in your upper 40's I can understand getting somewhat tired. I am 33 and treat this like a gym workout. There are no breaks once on property if it is less than an hour job since I will be back in the a/c of the truck afterwards. I am motivated to get my accounts done so I just can't see taking a break on a residential between front and back. Maybe I just push myself harder than most?
Please understand I am not slamming you, I just can't understand it. I stay well hydrated drinking while I am enroute so there is no reason to need anything on a 20-30 min job the way I see it.
Maybe it's the fancy under armour clothes I wear
They actually do make a BIG difference.......

i am 28, and i don't mean tired like i think you are thinking. i have a few backyards that are plenty big to even get a 52" mower on but i can only get a 21 incher through the back gate.Originally posted by race495 View PostI am just curious, how old are you? when it's 85+ degrees i usually get the back yard done and over with first. and on those days probably half way through the yard when i go to the truck and dump the container i'm dumping my grass catcher in i stop and get a drink while i'm there. i'm not talking stopping and sitting down for 5 min. just a quick fill up the cup, drink the water and back to work.
oh and haven't you ever heard it's better to not run the a/c between jobs? it makes it so much harder to get your body use to the heat going from a/c to heat like that. i never run the a/c until my very last job for the day is done, and sometimes it's kooled down by then i don't need it any how.
i'm always motivated to get my accounts done, but not at the expense of killing myself. if i start sweating excessively and breathing harder i'll stop if i need to. no sense in killing yourself to get the job done.
