  • Tinnitus ---- Ringing in Your ears.

How many guys here have ringing in there ears and how bad is it?

A very strange coincidence happen to me last weekend and early this week while I had a cold that actually reduced the ringing a lot. I'll post much more info later. I'm still in disbelief at this point because I think I may have narrowed down what reduced the ringing. I need to check into this a bit more.

Chuck, I typed a long post about what helped me. It was very unusual and I wasn't taking it to do anything with my ears!

But I did the quick thread edit because I want to do some more reading about it first. I'm hoping it can help others.

The reason I want to do more reading is because I just noticed this last night, narrowed things down today for what it might have been, and now doing some reading.

I will definitely update this thread. My reduction was at least 90%. Absolutely no joke in that. And last night, when I realized my ears weren't ringing, I had no clue why they stopped. But I think I do now.

I'd had a clicking noise for years and have a couple things that I suspect aggravate it, but don't have concrete proof, as it sometimes happens without those things being consumed.

I did have a cold/flu a couple years ago that caused some hearing loss. Over the duration of the fever, I slowly lost the ability to hear the audible beep of the electronic thermometer. I tested it for a few months after and still could not hear the thing anymore. It was a couple years later that I realized I could hear the beeping of the same thermometer again. If hearing loss can be reversed, I imagine auditory hallucinations can too. It'll be interesting to hear what you have found.
Aspirin is one thing that seems to make my ears click and gurgle.

I wonder if that noise is the pop top on beer cans or the click of a hammer being pulled back on a gun from some pissed off milfs husband.

Guys, I have this narrowed down......luckily I was a science lab nut in college!

I will post more later, I just want to get this out right now so that you guys understand how I came upon this. I was NOT trying to get rid of the ringing in my ears at all. It just happened directly after a "cold" and it was such a massive difference that it completely threw me for a loop. So I had to go back and try to figure out what the heck I ate or did that may have mixed together to cause this.

Turns out that what I initially told my employees and lady friend about my "theory" ended up being correct.

                    More in a bit.

                      I Actually Got This Thing..............

NO KIDDING..............yall can laugh, but here is how it went down. i was taking a good sheot a couple of years ago and i heard this humming noise and couldn't figure where it was coming from. when i got done sheoting, i started checking things out and could not find anything that was running in the house. i even went under the house to check the water tank, thinking maybe the pump was running. ( for you city boys, i have a well.) nothing, so i figured maybe i need to stop drinking, forget that. anyway, i was out sitting in my driveway at the hooterville complex in the truck after coming home from a job and it was winter and cold so i had the windows up and i was just sitting there thinking about MILFS and damned if i didn't have that same sound in my ears as b/4. damn................. i got that same sheot scaper. i'll tell you later what i did to eradicate this problem.
