the leaves fell late this season. after lastnights storm and todays strong winds i'm sure alot of yards are covered. my customers go through november on mowing so most are in good shape. i only have one hood that is older with alot of big trees and they were done monday and tuesday. as i said, i'm hoping the phone don't ring but i always have a few that want mowing into december.

Yeah...leaves suck, I'd even say they're worse than dealing with the snow. After Monday I came home with an injured back and puking my guts out. Finally felt well enough to get back out it the **** today. It's just a shame I have around 20 more complete clean-up gigs to butcher through while dealing with December's nasty weather at the same time. What a mess. :alien::alien::alien:

it must be hard on a youngster when they hurt their little backs and have a tummy ache. stop drinking so much milk and switch to booze so you can get a big gut which will in turn strengthen them back muscles. i'm thinking your medicine cabinet is full of ben-gay and metamucil.....

                  Same here.

Nah, never did get the leaf loader deal going. I really don't think it's too practical for what I do. A majority of my clean-ups entail cutting back perennials, blowing leaves from the beds, and running over the lawn with the zmaster with tracvac in tow to suck up all the crap. Cans get dumped in the truck bed. I can only count a couple gigs where a truck vac would be nice....who knows, maybe next year, but I wouldn't count on it. The trac vac seems a better fit. :alien::alien::alien:

I finished up the majority of the jobs today, got my wife out to help with the neighbor MILF, I finished up the 3rd job alone while they dropped off the November Bills and checked the status of the yards for next weeks schedule. 3 that have blown back over is all thats on the horizon. My sons trying to get 2500 to buy a Jeep and he played on PS3 wasting daylight. I grossed about 3 grand and hes made 310 in the same amount of time, he might figure it out eventually. Tomorrow I have Basketball practice for the 8 and under team I coach then will spend time splitting some firewood.

Steve your a lucky man to be able to have the winter off, yet it be short enough to afford to take it off.

it will be around the last week in march before the weather is good enough to mulch and in the mean time i have to sit around worrying if its going to snow or ice up and go salt.

Im hoping the snow gods give me a break this year and not snow.

last winter was tough with snow on the ground from mid december to the 1st week of march. i damn near drank myself out of $$$. this season i had one hell of a fall picking up alot of new application customers and fixing alot of lawns that were hit by our drought and high temps that we had all summer.
