      6 lbs/per 1000 sq/ft. i stepped it up this fall to compete in this economic environment that we are in. all my fall apps were at this rate including seed which all of them get more anyway. my sheot looks good. i lose alittle profit, but them folks can see why i charge more than these bozos out to make a quick buck.

        6 lbs eh? I sure hope that's applied over the course of the year and not just in the fall. Even then, 6 lbs is excessive IMO. If you can't keep a lawn looking good without dumping buckets of N on it, you're just another mowron and unnecessarily polluting the ground water at the same time. Apologize to your children.

        4.5lbs N applied on my Poverty lawns this year. ****s greener than all get-out too. :alien::alien::alien:

          6lbs/1000. this was a 32% N. would you like a multiple choice for the answer for N lbs/1000 or would you like me just to give you the answer?????? quick buck is for drinking and hookers. steady buck pays the bills. i'm pushing between 5 and 6 for a total season. you know my yards are the greenest and lushest in the hooterville metro area. talk to the factorys about pollution, not lil ole steve-o............

            Oh, so like that's any better? You dumped nearly 2lbs/1000SF for your winterizer application? At that rate I bet you applied a total of 4-4.5lbs/1000SF over the course of the fall leaving the other 1-2 for the spring. Who told you to fertilize in such a manner?

              you know as well as me that the yards can handle it through the fall, especially in december. now if we have a real cold winter like last year i might be in trouble in the spring with the urea not doing it's part but if that happens i'll just do my two spring pre-ems at 5% N instead of 14% and 5% and i'll drop my rate the norm for the spring apps. you worry too much college boy. lighten up and make your OZ yards turn into HOOTERVILLE yards.

                Question

                if steves warm season grass has a longer growing season and stays more active in the hot summer then mm's cool season grass, Y would steve not put down 20-30% more n.

                  First off, warm season grasses have totally different fertilizing requirements than that of cool season grasses.

                  Second, Steve routinely brags about his fescue lawns.

                  Third, Poverty and Hooterville fall in the transition zone. I'd assume you know what this means. :alien::alien::alien:

                        You're either ignorant or just don't give a ****. :alien::alien::alien:
