  • Know it all, equipment dealers.................

So The Rat after reading replies to his other thread, discovered Stephen had some real good info in one. I know one of them dudes is gonna use that straight gas in one of the two stroke machines. So, I am going to buy another honda trimmer and Makita blower to add to that crew so they only use straight gas machines. However the pair of hedgers that are on that trailer will still be pre-mix. Hmmmmmmmmmm........... After a lil research on the matter, I have found that Husqvarna offers a 324LdX split boom that has the same GX25 honda engine that the honda wacker has. Perfect setup for a hedgetrimmer, edger (rarely use one, use stringtrimmer for dat) and polesaw attachment. This would give the dudes all four stroke straight gas equipment.
So I go to the dealer here that sales Husky and
he says "That trimmer with the honda engine ain't no good"
So upon hearing this I inquire, "Why?"
He says "Dunno never had any experience with em, all I know is a two stroke is the way to go"
I said "Well what have you heard or read bad about them if you say what you said"
He says "I have heard nothing about them only my thoughts with all the added internal engine parts"
    I said "Okay..............."
    So I walk out.
What stinks to me about the whole situation is that I go in ready to lay the smacketh down for that split boom and several attachments and this guy that sells this equipment and has never even touched and fondled that particular model and has his know-it-all attiude about it. So screw him.
I will find another dealer or order it online.................................
The Ratty justs wanna spend some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$................

Good question, we will find out. I've run most all of the two strokes out there so time to make a change. To swap a crew over to complete four strokes you only talking bout 2200-2400 bux. Thats 2 trimmers, 2 blowers, and a split boom. Its worth a shot.

        "Mini 4-Stroke Series

The innovative design of Honda’s Mini 4-Stroke engines allows them to be used and stored in any position for full 360° usability. Upright, sideways, even upside down – the Mini 4-Strokes will still run great.

An exclusive Honda rotary-slinger lubrication system keeps oil in a completely misted state and circulates it using pressure fluctuations generated by the movement of the piston.

Built-in passages effectively return the circulated oil to the oil reservoir from every part of the engine. An oil return port positioned in the center of the reservoir prevents oil from accidentally flowing into the combustion chamber."

The Rat gots yall a lil story, this dealer is supposedly a friend of mine, but this chaps my a$$. I kept my mouth shut till now, I gotta let it out.............

Lemme tell ya bout these quiment dealers. Local dealer, whom I consider a friend. I buy lots and lots of chit from him. So couple months ago, one of the trucks drops a weedeater off to get fixed. Head quit turning. Dealer called and said it it can not be warrantied because it was the operators fault because the weedeater flooded while he was operating it and when the motor stopped suddenly it scripped the flywheel thus causing the head to not turn. I am like WTH, does dis cat think I am a dumba$$. If the trimmer flooded it would have died WAY before locking down. He says replacing the enigine will be over 50% of the cost of a new one, HE KNOWS I WILL NOT PUT THAT IN ONE, HE KNOWS I WILL REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE. He remarks, you said if ya got a year out of em you would be happy, WHAT, this mofo's supposed to have a 2 year warranty! I pick it up in pieces and think to myself, I wont buy no mo redmax. So I get a call from one of the guys and motor on one of the Tracers is leaking oil. I have him take it to same dealer and he looks at it and says I need to do a compression check, I watch him. Both cylinders read 160, he retested the left cylinder and it read 160 again, this cat proceeds to tell THE RAT he needs a new engine cause it took a second longer to get to 160 on that cylinder. I am like WTH again. So I am gonna take the motor myself and split the case in January when we pull major maintenance and reseal it up. I got (2) redmax blowers under warranty running like crap this week, this cat been closed the last two days so Monday I will take them in and see what excuse he got for not warrantying them.....................This is partially why I have bout said *&^$ the local dealer and just buy it off the net..............

Now each one of you ask yourself dis question: Does the Rat look like a dumba$$?

                Yardrat out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
