I will finish a "winter" job next week in a heated warehouse breaking down skids of phone books and placing them on the dock plate for distribution carriers that started just after thanksgiving.

My next job will last until mid-March installing a huge Conveyor system in a new distribution warehouse at $15 per hour.

BTW don't tell me to go out and buy a plow truck for there has only been 3 inches of snow to date this winter.

Snow removal comes with the business...I spose. I've learned to hate snow anymore. But even with years with little snow, there is just too much to be made. Due to the irregularities with snow, I cannot depend on snow income over the winter months. I treat it as a bonus.

i look at snow as taking care of my customers and and added benifit of making money. If it didnt give me a strategic advantage i would sell the plows today and take it easy all winter.

Disadvantage is cost repairs when you break down, The advantage however is to be able to have the extra money for




projects like my sons Jeep, of course I have a lien on it until its paid off he has raised $1000towards it and still owes me 1500 and anything else we put into it to get it on the road, ofcourse hes only 15 and has until April when he can get his learners permit and probably drive it since its a stick. For the extra work he needs to do to it I get to buy new toys and get an Employee I do not have to pay wages to



which not only cause extra work for me but allow me to save even more money from having to do tedious things I can actually do myself. This allows me more time to spend

getting my older children involved in my passion and career



Yes that is her own shirt from her Volunteer Department, she spent 12 hours at work with me Yesterday chasing Idiots on PCP. This allows me more time to also try to learn the ins and outs of Gardening



Yes they are Oranges in Virginia in January, as well as being able to cash in on Making your Own Job as sucessfull as possible with out having to answer to anyone but yourself in the summer.

Frankly, Plowing would be a 50/50 for me if I was in business in the snow belt. I just am not sure I'd want to deal with the uncertainty of snow fall and having to have the pieces in place.

I work a 9 to 5 warehouse job in west palm beach Fl. 3 months. Easy work, no stress and I don't have to dip into what I make the rest of the year. I tried snow, woodcutting and the handyman stuff, couldn't even make enough to pay the bills plus froze my arse off in Missouri. Snowbirding is the way to go if you can swing it.

6-12" of snow on the way. This blows, will be the first measurable snowfall of the winter. I don't feel ready for the craziness that will come with this ****. The plow truck is as ready as it can be. Snow blowers ready....even jerry rigged one snow blower to help blast through all the damn drives. Hope everything will be wrapped up by the end of Tuesday. At least I'll be rich at the end. :alien::alien::alien:

so much for Ice, got 1 inch of snow, enough for a 2 hour delay and I made about 200 with the 1 contract I have. The rest is Subcontractor but pretty much have to have 3 inches. We should be running a sander soon on a F600 if we get a hold of it. as for full time, I only work 8 days a month doing the fireman thing.

I never got a reply on the conveyer job.

But I have a new assignment with the phone book delivery service. My GF is going to work as a clerk and I am going to work the warehouse in a new Verizon job starting next week in Hazleton.

Why they actually schedule this in the dead of winter in a city that is the highest in elevation in the entire commiewealth of PA is just nutz but the warehouse is heated and that's all that counts.

Then it's off to Punta Gorda FLA until the end of March.

Round trip from Allentown PA to Punta Gorda is $234.00 with all taxes.

Some more **** will fall from the sky tomorrow. It's been nice lately....50's, even a couple near 70 degree days, then this mess rolls through. Will warm back up next week. Good year for income from snow though, went off and bought a 62" Toro ZTR. Looking into a Lesco HPS spreader now. All will be paid for....no loans, no debt, no banks able to take advantage of me.
