    WASHINGTON - As part of its campaign to put an end to the practice of distracted driving, the U.S. Department of Transportation today proposed a new safety regulation that would specifically prohibit interstate commercial truck and bus drivers from using hand-held cell phones while operating a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).

      Any driver cannot use a cellphone in the city of Poverty, unless using bluetooth or the like. It started out as a ban on text messaging and then the retarded city commissioners felt an outright ban on cellphone use would be even better. Citations are damn near $100 I believe.....

        Get use to it. In the other WASHINGTON, we have a similar law.

        I hear that New York is considering a ban of texting while walking. I guess the U-Tube vid of the woman texting and falling into a mall fountain is the basis for "inattentive walking while texting".

        It's an easy way for cash strapped governments to get additional money.
