Back in 2004 when we needed some hydro walkbehinds we bought 4 hydro walkbehinds in 2005 and 2006. I was impressed with the build quality, ease of controls, and the durability of these units. They were and still are the favorite walkbehinds of the crew.
Replacement time is coming up now so I go to the dealer and all he can show me is a bunch of lighter built mid mounts (dont need) and a stamped steel Trimstar that looks to be alot cheaper built and less durable than our current units. He say's Hustler makes some really tough mid mounts but the walkbehinds are more like homeowners quality and have abandoned the bigger(like our 272A and 3400) HD mowers.
Has anyone else noticed this??????
