This is in Maryland and fount there were 10 spots like this. Not sure if they are weeds or fungus.

Anyone can identify this? How to get rid of it?

i'm thinking not being able to see the photo that you just have patches of a warm season grass that has kicked the bucket till it gets hot again. in fescue lawns that would give that appearance in the winter. i see it all around here in hooterville.
