  • a great 2 weeks

We have had a great month and I can`t personally believe its this good. It started when we run a simple advertisment in 2 local papers one in this county, one in a county 80 miles away that another of our crews covers.

We have completed 84 estimates for lawncare, 37 for bed work and mulch, 22 for fertilize and weed control. we have closed on 80 percent of the work after some extra talking but get this.
    We had 2 customers ,
1 was a 1.5 acre lawn to mow ,we bid it at $150 a week for 52 weeks a year. he tells me he wants us to do it but its highest bid of 8. We talk and in his yard is a truck, a 1998 ford f-250marked $10,000 ,3rd door, loaded, spotless inside and out 57,000 miles. Turned out he got a 4 door , f150 for his growing number of grand kids .....done deal signed contract ,clear title and no lein holder.
Then last night a lady gave a 2011 60" cub cadet tank to us as payment on a 1 acre lawn and agreed to pay $ 30.00 a week for fuel as long as we agreed to mow her for this year and half of next until she moves in with her daughter in june 2013. Mower had 153.6 hours on it and still has stickers on the leading deck edge. She said her husband died last month and she was getting rid of everything..

We did a similar deal with a client of ours. Bought his equipment trailer on trade for $950 worth of services. We picked up the trailer late last week and to date we only owe him $300 in services. Nice trailer, 2006 18' Target with the fold down ramps and flat deck. :alien::alien::alien:

To sweeten my deal we visited after a week and no need to service it yet so it's a 2 week cut yard and that makes it less of a cost to my company
