  • Saw A Nice Flyer Today At My Customers Home.....

$28 mowing, $50 aeration, $80 seeding, lawn treatments available too.......now here i go with this sheot.....first off i charge $52 for this yard for mowing (13K ). second, i don't do spring aeration or seeding for no one. in the fall my breakdown last season was $156 for aeration and i forget the seed part but i can tell you straight up even at my cost i couldn't seed this yard for $80. i probably put anywhere from 70 to 80 pounds of a 3 way blue grass blend on this yard plus i make sure bad spots get re-seeded through the fall. these guys make me sick........

I saw an companies fb ad. it was $59 aerate, 59 dethatch, 59 overseed, and 59 lawn rolling.

now I don't know how others dethatch, but the way I do it, it takes 10 times as long as aerating does so how do you charge the same?

          $40, $90, $150, it's all the same...

It's always been my opinion core aeration, unless used in conjunction with over-seeding, is a waste of money. But I still offer it if you want it...

i think it is a waste of time and customers $$$ here in hooterville. do some yards need it ?????? yes, but not mine......all mine have sprinkler systems and there ain't no compaction at all......last fall i did very few except for the ones who insisted. instead i pretty much made the same $$$ using lawn steroids in the mix which was easier on my body and my 1803 aerator. all my yards turned out the same if not better.....think about it during over-seeding.....10000 holes in a yard and 1 million seed heads in a 50 lb bag of seed.....what happens to the ones who don't fall in the holes ??????

Do you really feel core aeration alleviates compaction? Not I. :alien::alien::alien:

what size mower are you using on this 13k lawn ? and your compitition?? My crews sure dont try to get $52.00 for a 13 k mowing customer . when 2 men can complete that in 10 minutes average. However If its a full service account they average a higher rate .

i use 48" eXmark walk-behinds. for the record you ain't gonna do a 13k lawn in 10 minutes with two guys with mowing, trimming, and blowing. if you do pestisides then you should know what 13k of turf is plus you don't know the terrain involved. that being said, all my mowing customers (3) are full service but i charge by what i do.....NO CONTRACTS.....if you lived in hooterville you would see that what i charge is pretty much the norm except the scrubs.....i'm probably on the high end but i give good results. my minimum mowing charge is $38 and at this point my maximum is $52. any bigger i don't want for mowing. i have larger ones for the applications though as that's where i make my $$$ at this point ....................

13k lawn for 52 is the going rate here...we do most 5-6k lawns for 30-35 bucks (mow, trim, edge, blow, bag & hauloff). 10mins for a 13k lawn with 2 people sounds almost TOO fast to me..not sure how quality would be with that speed

My partner's goal is to hit $90/hr for every guy out mowing. I tell him that's nuts every time he brings it up. Mowing rental properties it's obtainable because quality doesn't matter; however equipment will be torn up as a result increasing overhead across the board off setting the benefit. But hell, even I can't hit $90/hr mowing my old lawns myself, and I'm a fast mowin' son of a *****. I'd rather charge a reasonable price that's fair for everyone, gain the clients trust which in turn results in upsells across the board. Hell...that's what's worked for me over the past 10 years. The last couple years my clientel number actually kept decreasing, but my net kept increasing. Interesting how that works. :alien::alien::alien:
