Last week, after mowing 3 adjacent lots, a neighbor came up to me while I was loading. Before i could get my mower shut off he was laying into me. He wanted to inform me that i am polluting the lakes by blowing all the clippings on the road. I was surprised at this comment, being i never blow out of the customer's lawn, and took a walk with the guy around my customers' lawns. In 150 feet of road,i had about a 2 foot square area where i to do, to get out between a tree on his property and my customer's shed. He then pointed to a yard i don't do and said if i did like that again, he would call in the bureau of business and have my license removed.
I was temped to say something about his weekly fertilizing/ sprayings. I don't have the equipment/license to spray, so one guy in town specializes in that. Have you ever had non-customers do that to you. Now instead of the small area i blew into the street, i blow 100 of clippings onto his yard-whatever he wants.
By the way, I am a conservaiionists with the NRCS, and board member of our lakes assiocation. I think i know about phosperous levels and such.
Sorry its so long.
