  • Seeding On a Hill

I am going to give a customer a bid for fixing there front yard. They have a medium sized hill about a 25 degree slope for like 13ft. They may be selling there house so i told them sod would be expensive but an instant lawn that will add curb appeal and value to there home. i also thought sod would be good to kill the hill problem. i gave them a figure just for materials and they see how expensive it can be. i also told them i can do a top dressing which will be much cheaper but take more time to grow into a lawn. if i were to do this though how can i ensure the seed wont wash away, apply a thicker layer of mulch, is the a mesh screen...?

Top dress, add seed, add starter fertilizer, lightly rake, add straw, then staple netting down to hold it in place. Or rent a slit seeder.

        ditto,
        copy that,
        what he said,

also do not give any guarntees or any expected results especially if they don't have an operating irrigation system

Where can I find the netting you are talking about, also what type of stapler...?

Most nursery supply stores carry the netting. Not sure if Home Depot or Lowes does. If they sell the netting, they should sell the staples. Simply put them in the ground with a hammer.
