  • Quoted a job, but job changed when showed up to site.

Wondering what to do? I had a bid accepted for a job. I went to do it, and when I arrived I was told of 2 more areas and services that was needed. I am wondering if that cancels first agreement? Or how I should charge the customer because it adds 2 hours on to total time, plus additional costs. Any help?

Tell em to look at what you had put on the bid and that any extra will be charged for accordingly.
To mow or not to mow? That is the question!

this happens all the time. Just make sure you tell the customer that this will be extra. There's a lot of snakes in the grass.

If you had it in writing don't worry about it just tell them you will enter a new bid or add it to the original. If it was your mistake you may have to eat it if their is a signed agreement.

Worse case, re-bid it. If they don't want the new price, tell them you can't do it. Don't have to eat anything.

If they can't see you made a mistake and need to re-bid, dump them as fast as you can. They will be BIG trouble later!

If you already started, they may not pay. So don't start.

You may lose the customer, so what if they are a pain.
