ztr and residential lawns?

Just curious on how many of you use ztr mowers compared to walk behind mowers on residential lawns. I have the opportunity to buy a 52" Exmark Lazer HP for 6695.00. Does this price sound resonable?

To be honest I use my Gravely 60" ZTR as much as I do my ExMark 48" Turf Tracer hydro. Both are good machines and each one serves a purpose. I wouldn't want to be in business without either one of them.

I use my 54" ZTR everyday on the residential accounts. I also have to use the 21" amd 33" several times a week for those areas I can't get into. I would say that 80-90% of the mowing is done with the ZTR though.

We use our Scag 48" on all our residentials. We use the 21" Honda for gated areas that the ZTR won't fit into.

We were looking at Exmark when we bought the Scag. I think you pay a little more for the name. Remember that you'll be adding tax to that, which will bring you up around 7000.00. Just to give you a comparison, We got the Scag 48" tiger cub with
19 hp Kaw for 6300.00 (this includes tax).

For us, the 48" deck is working really well. We have one account that is 2 acres, we can get it done in 1 hr. 2 min.

We use the 52" on residential all the time. When I need to get through gates I use the 36" and if that don't fit pull out the 21" honda. You have to look at your acounts and see what size would be right for you. Don't buy a mower because of price if you can't use it. If you have matchbox properties this may be to big and then if you have larger it would work fine. It is really up to you. As far as price that sounds normal. Is it new or used?

thats a very good price for the lazer hp what engine does it have on it

I would be able to use this on almost every account!! The mower is new and the engine is a 20h Kohler. The reason why I asked about the price is because the dealer stated that they had purchased a bunch of these models and are selling them cheaper than the 48" Exmark LazerZ HP. (6695.00 compared to 6899.00)

i agree with grasschaser buy it you wont regret it ,i have a lazer za hp 52 i loveit.Cuts great stripes great .Congrats on getting the lazer hp like i said you wont regret it.
The 20 horse kohler is a good engine .
