    Ripping lawn

Practice, It's going to happen. You've got half ton plus turning on grass and dirt. I've come to the conclusion sometimes you can't help it. Especially going down a steep inbankment. But I've noticed mine are becoming less of a problem. I've had to slow down a bit, ZTR's go fast but when you turn fast your going to rip. Sometimes you have to go out of your way to get a good turn going, take your time. I try to be smooth at it but sometime you just can't help it. I have yet to have anybody complain about it. I have gone back and sprinkled some grass seed on the rip. But most of the time it when you go back to mow again it's hardly noticeable. I don't worry about it anymore, neither do the customer. It's going to happen. I don't care how carefull you are. What I hate most are skid marks going down hill. Going up hill is fine but down, if the the yard is the least bit wet. Skip mark from hell. I just try to slow down while turning and avoid going do hill. Been working for me. Hope this helps.

Keep your drive wheels turning. I had problems at first but after a bit of hit and miss... came to the conclusion if I slow down at the turn stop and initiate the turn with out side drive going forward and inside drive going backwards at the same time, I haven't had a problem since. I may have to stop at the turn but make the time back up on the straight run mowing at 7 mph.
