Magnetic Sign Help

I am going to order magnetic signs for my trucks.

Are there any good companies that you guys have gone through to get your signs made?

I have designed my own logo but the first sign company said that my logo is to small and looks grainy and blurry when it is blown up to fit the 12" x 24" sign. I need a picture with a higher resolution. How do I get around this obstacle?

How much did you pay for a set of two 12" x 24" signs? I think the going rate is $75.00 = $10.00 shipping.

Design it yourself online, they email a proof to you and you tell them if you like it, then you order it. Very easy to do.

I had mine made locally and I paid right around $60 also. That was for 2 colors on a white background and 12"x24" sign.

Beware of magnetic signs

I used to have magnetic signs. Be careful. If you don't take them off they will get stolen and will rust the metal behind them.
Most graphic designs now installed on vehicles are vinyl and look much better and can be removed if you change vehicles.
It sure look muuuuuuuuch more professional, which I believe is what we are all trying to do.

These guys don't have a web site but are the best pricing and work in a 100 mile radius of Portland Or. and Vancouver washington. Ithink it was around 48.00 for a sign.

I hope this helps. They take your art.... corel draw 9 and or anyhting saved as a JPEG (high resolution. Or just give them your font style. They would problably take it as an email attachment or you can send them a CD or Zip disk. they are very fast in there work as well. they are very reasonable in everything they do, signs, banners, lettering, stickers, bumper stickers.

Magnetic signs lend themselves (by the way they look) as being temporary ... so your business may look "temporary" using them. We used them only for subs that was working our sites with their trucks. We used decals in a variety of sizes to apply to all trucks, trailers, all equipment, also work site signs, make "em" big enough so that phone number can be read from 200 to 300 feet away. Find a reliable source that can supply you over a period of growth ... you'll need more as you go along. The decals we used on our trucks were maybe two feet wide, and we had them made small enough to fit on every piece of equipment even down to two or three inches wide for bak pak blowers and such. Keep it consistent and use the same design logo on T Shirts, Hats, whatever.

As always lots of helpful advise.
I tend to agree about the mag.signs being temp. looking and stolen easily. If the truck you have is one that you are going to keep, you might look in to lettering. Most local sign companies have people that hand letter and they look good.

I went with the vinyl on the truck, not too expensive and removable.
Also, I put my logo on everything! I take pride in what I do and I target the market that will pay just a little more for the small details. While I'm there and after I leave I like to let all know that this is my work and if they like it or need it they know who to contact.
