Looking for a 38"deck

Anyone know where I can find a Craftsman 38" deck, I got a 95 model 12.5 hp B/S. 38" cut, lawn tractor from my uncle for free. I need to replace the deck. I am looking for the stripped down kind. About a hundred bucks or so. Any one know any websites. I can transfer all the pullies and such from the old one, it is just rusted thru on the mount.

check ebay.. I've seen some 1991-1996 38" tractors sell for $50-$150.. Search for your area and maybe you'll find something..

Just curious why you need a new deck. Is the metal cracked or broker etc?

Cole,

A lot of Craftsman mowers are made by AYP (American Yard Products). You may find info on the net using this to help.

Also you might wan to check around at a couple of the lawn equipment repair places and see if they have any mowers that they are junking that might fit the bill.

The part that is welded at the deck that is pinned up to the frame of mower is rusted through. Nothing to weld to, to fix it. Just want a stripped to transfer all components.

On one of my 21" mowers one of the bolts broke through and the other wqs starting to crack. I will give a link to show maybe how you can fix it...

Thanks really well cut, but I looked in local area website and found a guy selling the same mower I recieved for $100.00 but needs a carb. I called him he is bringing it to me and for $80.00 sounds like a deal to me, now I will have extra tires and all sorts of parts. Thank you everyone for the help though.
