    RIGHT SIDE WHEEL SPINDLE CAME OFF AT WELD WHILE MOWING. HOOFED IT ACROSS YARDS TO FINISH DAY. CONTACTED THEM THEY SAID THEY HAD PROBLEMS WITH BAD STEEL CAUSING MY EXACT PROBLEM. MY PROBLEM IS I HAVE LOST RECIEPT FOR THE THING SO EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM IS THERE FAULT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO HELP ME OUT BECAUSE OF NO RECIEPT. THERE IS EVEN A ARTICLE ON THERE WEB SITE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT. ALSO BOTH STOCK TUBES DEVELOPED HOLES THE FIRST FEW MONTHS, I GUESS THIS WAS JUST A BAD ONE.

    One lesson learned here...keep ALL reciepts for EVERYTHING! Just part of the paperwork part of running a business. Sorry about your problem though!!

      but if they want take care of a manufacturers default why buy. Even without a receipt they should take care of their defaults.
      I've been looking at sulky's and I guess I can rule them out.

        Well, that's what I would think...that they should still honor a replacement or something if it was their fault, if you had a reciept or not. BUT...still, it is VERY important that you file all reciepts period. I speak from experience. My situation is similar to yours where I misplaced a reciept and then I was screwed because I couldn't return a fairly high priced piece of equipment. I learned the hard way and it is looking like you may have too also.

Our distributor may have misled you, because under normal warranty situations, you do need a receipt. However, in the case of the soft steel, you do not need one.             Ms. Jennifer is correct about most Manufactures requiring the Sales Receipt aka Proof of Purchase...

            PS: I Represent over 13 O.E.M.'s at my repair shop & they all require Proof of Purchase for Warranty Repairs! Sometimes they even demand a Copy of the Receipt!

              AFTER I CONTACTED THE RIGHT PERSON THEY AGREED TO SEND ME OUT A REPLACEMENT PART TODAY!!!!!! COULLD NOT ASK FOR MUCH MORE.
