    one more thing:

the Maruyama is also very nice and will be very similar to the RedMax i believe.
awesome engine and built good, but the one thing i really liked on the Husky 232L is the anti vibration is top notch and cant be beat. This will also help out on fatigue but it is about 14lb. so a little heavier
the 326lx at 9lb. would be cake to use all day

Still one of the biggest factors is what dealer is close andwhat do they carry

Scott: I am with you, brother! At right around 6' 2", and 215 pounds or so, I am no wimp. But I would rather not carry around weight that I don't have to. I run solo, so at the end of the day I am dragging too. You are probably going to find the BCZ2600S at your dealer (if they move a few a year, anyhow). That's the unit I am running, and I am pretty darn happy with it. Take it outside and fire it up. I'll be suprised if you don't like it. My ONLY beef on the whole unit is that the clip on the strap has a sharp edge on it (on my unit anyhow), that my finger found the other day. I need to hit it with a file. Other than that, a fine unit. It feels a lot lighter than my Stihl does, too. And man is it ever assed up! You'll see what I mean. They say it weighs 11.7 pounds, but with the way it is balanced, it just doesn't seem that heavy.

Saw Man: That's the whole reason I didn't look at the Huskies. No local stocking dealers. While Scaper has had real good luck with them, I can't take a chance on a Lowes unit going down, and having to wait for parts. Even though I have a backup trimmer, how long would I be running ON my backup?

If there were no RedMax dealers around here, I wouldn't have bought one. I am lucky enough to have 2 outstanding RedMax dealers fairly close, like 30 minutes away for the one (but like 10 minutes from the area I cut in), and 45 minutes for the other one. The reason I drive the 45 minutes to the other one is because he is also my Exmark dealer, and offers service like nobody else around here. If your Exmark mower has to either come off of the trailer to be fixed, OR if the fix is going to take longer than 15 minutes, you are driving off with a demo! He has been there for 35 years, his son has worked for him for at least 10 years, and they aren't going anywhere. They have EARNED my respect, and thusly, my business. They know who I am when I call, and will wait for me to get there if I am not going to make it before normal closing time. Even on a Saturday. I told them before I ever even bought anything from them that I liked the way the did business. A no bull attitude! Then I proceeded to spend a thousand dollars there. They always thank me for my business, and I always thank them for being there.

It's all about dealer support, in my books. This is your bread-and-butter! ALWAYS go where you get the support you NEED! NEVER skimp on the tools of your trade, as they are how you earn your living. As long as someone is buying a top quality, commercial grade, name brand piece of equipment, and getting the dealer support they NEED, I say they are making the right choice. No matter WHAT brand!

        Baloney!

        My Stihl Horror Story.

USED Stihl 76"s for years. They were Great & Reliable Trimmers.

Time to trade on new? So I got the Stihl 85's. All of Them Had CARB Problems!

They were all hard to start in HOT weather & fizzled & guess what? When they went back to the DEaler they Were FINE!

BUT NOT IN THE FIELD! WeNt to another dealer & HE told me this was COMMON for the new Stihl's because THEY had to meet some GARBAGE emmisions standards for which I was SUFFERING.

My Stihls WENT back & I bought ECHO's & KAWASAKI trimmers & now my trimmers WORK like they should.

Stihl Still hasn't worked OUT ALL the BUGS but it REALLY depends on your climate if you WILL experience these PROBLEMS.

Has anybody tried the shindaiwa t230? I bought it from my dealer last year and so far so good. It cuts great and is pretty well balanced and plenty of power.

Hey Scaper , very nice web site, you do nice work..........
