• blowing/vac prices

Hello all,

Got a call from a customer who wants me to blow/vac up the leaves out of her yard. I am doing this job on Sat. 10/26/02. I need to know what I should charge and I am asking for someone to send me advice (please)by Friday 10/25/02. She estimates the lot size is about 75' x 165'. Customer is providing the blower/vac and leaf bags. I am providing the labor, gas and oil. She also has pine needles on the yard that she doesn't know what to do with (rake them up or leave them on the lawn). Since this is my first time doing such a job, I need guidance on what to charge for this job--and in the future, depending on the yard size and with me providing all the equipment, gas, etc.--also what to do with the pine needles. Thanks in advance.

Are you hauling it to the dump too? I generally charge a minimum of $50 per trip, depends on how far I have to travel.
Also, just how thick are the leaves on the ground? Does it cover the entire yard? Get us this info and we could probably help out a little bit more.
Get a large tarp, put it on the ground and find out what works best for you. Blow the leaves over to it or rake it up on it. Then grab the edges and carry over to your truck/trailer. No need for little bags. Then if you have a bagger on your mower, try using that and see what final effect that gives. I have a little snapper and that bad boy rocks for picking up leaves. If you're by youself charge $50 per hour. If you have a helper charge $70-$85 per hour.

Get us that additional info.
