Yep I'm trying to get started in the biz too. I'm a firefighter fulltime working on getting this going on the side. I've read this forum on and off for a month now and everyone is very helpful and I wanted to say thanks for all the great input.
I have jsut a couple questions I would like to ask.
FIRST: Would anyone be willing to share pricing on lawns in northern Illinois so I won't lowball or charge way too much? This would be for mowing , trimming, edging w/ a trimmer and blowing the drives and walks. I mostly do res. anywhere from just less than a .25 acre up to two acres. I understand that the more crap in the way to mow around, or trim around, the more the price. So if any helpful soul would have a pre made general price list I would like to see it to get an idea of where I stand w/ my bidding.
SECOND: What do all of you think of this? To all of my current customers, offering to mow their lawn ONCE for free w/ every signed referral by them. I will make sure I won't be mowing this other person only once and get hosed either.
If these topics have already been discussed which thay probably have, I'm sorry to be repetitive. But help where to find these will help. Thak you all again for your time.
