I've heard that it can be beneficial to trim, then mow because the wee-eater can leave a little "trail" of clippings in some conditions if you weed-eat after mowing. It does the same if you trim before mowing, but the mower sucks it up when you mow after trimming. But to be truthful with you, I usually mow first. It usually only looks bad when the grass being trimmed was tall. And if you're mowing with a crew, who has time to nit-pick about trimming around stuff before mowing? Really it's not that big of a deal to me.

I used to trim and then mow but it seemed like I always missed a spot and had to drag the trimmer out again. Now I mow and then trim .

IF WE HAVE BEEN DOING THE PROPERTY FOR A WHILE, WE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT NEEDS TO BE TRIMED. THEREFORE WE ALWAYS TRIM FIRST THEN MOW. MUCH BETTER FINISHED LOOK.

We're a 2-person crew, so we do them at the same time. But my partner tried to stay behind me to run over the clippings that the weedeater leaves. If I happen to be alone, I trim first.

I usually mulch instead of bagging, and it works out better to trim after mowing.

If the grass is over a foot, trim first. Otherwise mow, trim, blow and go.
