  • Deadbeat Cop

One of my customers is a cop. He recently decided not to pay me. Would it be considered harassment if I sent a bill to him in care of the police station? I dont know if I could get in trouble for hunting someone down at work.

I always found it not be a good idea to mess with the police. It always comes back to bite you in the ass.How much does he owe you? If its only a little i would send another bill letting him know its past due.If its a lot i would let him know your intention of taking it to small claims court.

Do not send any bill to any workplace.
If the amount is worth the time, just start proceedings and go to small claims court.

Knock on his door when he has company. He won't want them to know what a deadbeat he is.

He owes me $105. I'm not worried about him bothering me. I don't live or work in the city he works for. Thanks for the advice

Any claim against him will lodge a mandatory internal investigation from his dept. It doesnt investiage if he owes you but investigates his finances. They track every penny that has come and gone if they can see it @ his bank. They enquire gambling, drugs, extra marital affairs,laundering,ect... Im thinking youd be the first he answers to.

If you take him to court and get a judgement against him, you can garnish his wages. This way his employer knows what is up. Skip sending the letter to work. Send him a registered letter to his house stating that you will take legal action if his debt is not paid by a certain date.
