2 wheel IMO, if you stripe, won't have that 3rd line to look at. Actual type depends on mower.
They are really great labor savers. Too bad they're so pricey.

I'm looking at the proslide. I think for strips it will leave a better stripe since it has no wheels. their site is http://www.novaecorp.com

You might just want to check them out.

            Landed price

            mmlawn,
The price you said, is that the winning bid, how much total to get it to you including delivery.

2 wheel. Pro slide can't be used on concrete, so yopu will have to walk to the grass. They do stripe great.

Curious as to why everyone prefers the 2 wheel. Also curious if the users of 2 wheel have actually used the single wheel.

I just purchased the single wheel (took me forever to make a decision) and I love it. It seems the single wheel would be more maneuverable in tight areas. Of course, I havn't tried the 2 wheel model.

I bought the 2 wheeled Velke. I wanted to grab a proslide, and still may at some point. The reason I went with the two wheeled one is because of a post that "The Kid" Quality made. He stated that the ONLY bad decision he made was getting a one wheeler. And my dealer just happened to have one there too. Kind of helps you make up your mind. Oh, and I am around 6' 2", and 220 pounds. I don't think the single wheel is supposed to haul someone my size around.

Like everything else, though, everyone has a different opinion on them. The first time I tried riding on that 2 wheeler, I about flipped out. My yard is bumpy as heck, and I thought "This thing is going to beat the ugly out of me!". I rode it around a few days later, and have gotten quite used to it.

You DO need to know WHEN TO GET OFF OF IT though! That's why I like the proslide. Step off, and it automatically retracts. The only scary thing about it is the warnings about automatic retraction when going down a hill on wet grass. But I bet you could step off of it before a problem occurred.

Anyone with a proslide want to chime in and tell me how I SHOULD have bought one?

Two wheel and I love it. Glad I bought it whem I did. See people walking behind their WB's and I just could not do that all day long. They probably have some serious CRAMPS at night. I suggest get it and you won't regret it.

I primarily bought the the Velke for this 6 acre commercial account I have. I was walking it, and it takes about 4.5 hours to mow. I just started out this season, and there's no way I'm buying a ZTR until I absolutely need one.

I mowed if for the first time yesterday with the Velke single wheel and it worked great. I don't plan on using it for residential unless the yard is fairly large. One of the reason's I started this biz is to help me stay in shape, and sitting on a ZTR or standing an a sulky isn't going to help out in that regard.

Why walk when you can ride!!! 2 wheel all the way for better striping. Single wheel will leave a third line down the middle. I wouldn't want that.
