  • More on Commercial Bidding

Do any of you ever turn down commercial bids that you've won? I mean what if you win ALL of your bids with not enough men or time to complete them? Ok, you probably bidded too low, but do you turn them down? Is it common to sort through and pick selcet ones? I'm new at this if you can't tell. Never really bidded before. I'd appreciate your comments.

If you are bidding correctly, you should only get about 10-25% of the jobs you bid on. If you have too much work, raise your price to lower the demand. This will be just as profitable and cut down on labor hours.

An unlikely scenario to "win them all" but if you have a high close rate it might be time to consider sub contracting.
