the name game

well, this is my first season part time in a partnership with a friend of mine and it's gone south already. I'm sticking with it and plan on getting reorganized over the winter.

now to my point. I never really liked our name, Northern Property Care. we wanted to sound like a bigger company than we were and I came up with a decent logo so we stuck with it. now that I'm solo I'm going to change it and was wondering about catchy names. it just so happens my last name is DeGrasse. would it be corny to use my name like that or could a catchy name get me in peoples' heads? got any ideas?

i am also having a difficult time in picking a name for my company. until now i have just been ussing my name.

I guess you could say the partnership failed because of different levels of motivation. also a lot of things weren't being done to my satisfaction. I'm new at this so I don't know how to do everything but I do know that you have to trim a lawn to make it look neat. we just saw things differently on too many subjects.

as far as the name goes, I was hoping to get some suggestions of catchy names that include my last name, DeGrasse. you know, a play on words sorta thing

I'm not sure about a name, I don't know if anyone would get "DeGrasse Cutter". But I do have an idea for a company slogan (put it after your company name) and it will offset a slightly corny name and make it easy to remember.

You gotta have an "action verb" in there. Something like "Mowin' DeGrasse". No,.. just kidding. I know what you mean with a partnership thing, they never work out. I've been there, too. I ended up with all the accounts, my partner ended up with a prison job.
