I have heard of that stuff. Didn't know if it really worked or not. I will now go give it a try. Surely it can't hurt anything. Thanks!

Coastallawncare, how much does that stuff cost and how many miles per gallon do you normally get? Just wondering how much savings you are getting. I normally get about 10 miles per gallon at $1.50 per gallon. So if I were to increase to 20 extra miles per tankful that would save me $3.00 but I would have to account for the cost of the additive. Not trying to play down your good fortune, I'm just a numbers freak. I always appreciate new knowledge and try to provide the same. Just my 4 cents.

I will probably check the local autozone to see if they carry it and give it a shot like you have. Let ya know how it goes.

        additive

about 7.00 a qt. treats 100 gallons 3oz to 10 gallons of fuel, i normally get 200 miles out of a tank using 93 octane amoco but with this additive i get 218 to 220 using same fuel. i fill up every 4-5 days.

            Hello Everybody:

How do you know it's 93 octane, Because the sign says so?

When I was a Kid I worked at a gas station & regular went in all 3 underground tanks?

If you have one of them trailer ramps (Wind Damns) that stick up 3' to 4' in the back get rid of it & save 50 miles to the tank.

I can tell by the smell of 93 octane. It smells differant while pumping. I was pumping yesterday and i know it was 89. So i shut off at $20. First time ive had this happen though. Grassmaster,, you think this is common?

                Hello Seascape:

I would say it could happen very often.

If you could cut your lawns twice as fast, would you & charge them same amount of money?

I don't know what those folks make per gallon, I don't think it's that much?

If you had a 10,000 gallon underground tank & it had 2,000 gallons of mid grade & the driver put 8,000 gallons of regular in it, who knows this first & look at what they would go through trying to pump it out...

You might find out the fuel tanker driver does it more than the store owners?

With that scenario, I say that the Somebody just made an extra $800 bucks on that one tank full... There will always be a winner here somewhere...

State Regulated? Don't even go there, because if that's so, you know you are getting robbed at the tank... Why?

Go out in the country on some of these highways & when one gets black topped or resurfaced & look how many folks get new asphalt driveways or get them resurfaced. In this scenario a few 50's & 100's goes a long ways.

It's a win -Win situation for for the asphalt crew, the Homeowner & don't forget the Fuel Tanker Driver & the Station owner? Everybody wins!

Is the additive good for Diesel, I have a 1999 F250 7.3 ltr? Or is there something else any one else would recomend?

Amsoil has diesel additives also. Cetane booster too.

As for the gas stations, Last year I was able to pump nearly 8 gallons of gas into a few small gas cans(4) that should have totaled 7 gallons. I only went to the lines on the cans. When I called the state dept. of weights and measures to make a complaint on this station, I was told my cans couldn't be trusted to be accurate. Why put a full mark on them then? I would have been putting an extra quart in each can. I don't think so Tim.

Ok, say I take mine off, what should I use in place of it? Some of those heavy duty (ultra heavy probably) steel ramps which are used on the really heavy duty trailers? Plus my sign is mounted on my gate... where do I put that then? Not trying to shoot down your idea, but I'm just plain confounded as to what to solution may be. HELP!

I may have to try that fuel additive; never hurts to try somethin' new. By the way, how often does everyone replace the crankcase air breather filter on their vehicles? I rotate it after 2000mi when I'm changin' my oil, and then change it at 4000mi - no reservations cause I don't want to be missing out on lost horses.

I wouldn't even bother! In my opinion, gas is a small cost. I may spend $3000.00 a season in gas. Thats about a $100.00 a week and I actually only do about $50 a week. So, my $3000.00 figure is high. If I spend $3000.00 in the season, believe me, I'm making a lot of money so that 3 grand is nothing.
