used mower information??

Any of you guys know where a guy can find out how much used commercial mowers are worth. I'm looking at some scag's but I don't really know how to judge how much they are worth. Is there a website/book or anything. Same question for used weed eaters/blowers.

Try www.turfquip.com and www.machinefinder.com These sites will help give you an idea what equipment is going for anyway. If you find a machine you like, find out the model, hours, etc. and run it by the folks on this forum before you purchase it. They'll let you know whether it's worth it or not.

P.S. Don't buy used trimmers or blowers.

The owner of these is an acquaintance/friend of mine. Hes not asking for a price. He said give him a price. I do know the sthm needs a starter. Everthing else is in good condition and was well taken care of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great balls of fire! ... I have already been in touch with turfquip.com and I hope he'll come onboard and run up a list of values all in one spot ... approx market values line by line, along with remaining useful life expectancy, cost to ship, and etc. This will help when making the decision to buy new or used from a "national source" or if locally available. From this a decision scale of should I ... buy, bargain more, or forget it.
