I was wondering where you all access bid lists for landscape maintenance, lawn care etc. I know alot of larger corporations have annual bids, but where does one find these etc. I know it is different in each area of the country, but I didnt know if there was a common place to go first etc.....More or less I just wanted to try to find out on some new business leads for possibly new companies, churches, or other organizations that are required to take bids on lawn care. Thanks guys.

The best way I feel to locate the information is by letting your “fingers do the walkingâ€. Not to long ago there was a message on the board that answered your question. Unfortunately, I can not locate it at this time.
Call the companies you are interested in providing your services to. Find out who the head person is (the one who has the authority to issue the contract). Once you find out that persons name, call and make an appointment to speak with them.
Another option is the classified section of your local paper. Most times the bids are listed in the legal section.
You may also want to try searching the past post’s to see if you can locate the information.

Drive around and get the names of the properties you want to service. Send them a letter and call them. Even stopping by and asking for the person in charge of grounds maintenance.
You can get a list of all businesses in town from your local governement office (city hall/county office), but if you send letters without at least putting an eyeball on the place, two things could happen. You could be sending a letter to a company that has NO grounds to maintain, or you could be sending a letter to a place that you do NOT want to maintain.
Get in your truck and go seek them out.Jeeps are like women.....much more fun with their TOPS OFF!

Bid Rite is a profiling system that superimposes like characteristics in relation to property size, type and "component parts & characteristics ... drawing on their similarities or "commonality". Using just 6 criteria, it verifies bid price (having confidence in) your historical record bids wins/losses, cost, labor hours, summarizes equipment committment, and "tells you" (the price levels that the competition is most likely to bid the same jobs) you are bidding on. From this outcome ... you end up with a bid price "confidence factor" and if you are awarded the job, provides a detailed summary of actions to take to "fold" the new account into your lineup of existing work without any further bother of calculations. "offspring benefits" are ... needed new financing (if any), new employee count, updated labor hours by month needed, new demands on working capital financing, and the number of dollars needed to "float" the addition of any new account into your account list. From this data you will know exactly what accounts to "go after" that result in the best combinations of work that will yield the greatest profit given your "company best-fit account/customer scenario.
This is job bidding, pricing and new account "acquisition" by (design) not by accident. It also takes into account a person's own pattern of optimistic or pessimistic bidding assumptions from all past bids.

First I identify neighborhoods that I either have current clients in and want to procure more, new neighborhoods, or neighborhoods in which I wish to do business. The I use my list creator to make either labels or print directly to the advertising media.
