  • mulching kit

Guys quick question 36" Exmark Metro walk behind. Most people I talk to hate the mulching kit and say that it clumps the grass up and looks bad. I think I want a mulching kit any concerns, comments, about the mulching kit?

    Thanks Jbyrd

I love my mulching kit thats on my 48" Turf Tracer. It makes for a lot less blowing, nothing gets in the beds, and you can trim with either side of the mower.

We'll see how it performs in the spring, though. I'm told the extra moisture and heavy growth may cause some clumping...but it all clears up with a double cut (worst-case).

      Mulch kit

I use a mulch kit on my 33" and my 21" as long as you dont cut the grass when its real tall or wet you should be fine with no clumping, it seems like my 44" and 52" clump no matter what so I just let it discharge and not worry about it. Hey were you a firefighter at? I'm in the DFW area, just south of Arlington.

I mulch up here in the North West and been doing it for 8 years. Yes, this time of the year you will have clumping but I go over it again and it seems to do pretty good. Rather do that than hauling it off. But summer, no problem. The big problem it getting your customers to understand the benifits of mulching. Less fertilizing too.

Exmark 36" TTHP, wouldn't mow a day without my mulch kit on.

Cool! I was just in Jackson 2 weeks ago at the Dixie National Livestock Show. I think I saw signs for pearl. I like being able to put a location to a screenname.

Hello , we mow without mulch kits until spring growth has slowed & then put them on for the remainder of the season.

eXmark will have a blowout baffle avail in spring for all decks, to reduce the blowout problems associated w/mulching leaves
