Help????? Urgent

about a week ago my only truck was hit and it will be in the shop for a week it was hit by a drunk by guess what a ford f150 and threw my ford f-250 in the air and 100ft down the road. for everyone who was new and only had one truck what would you do. do you think if you called all your LCO's would they lend you one of their trucks till u came back into service

Call the dealer and have the other guys insurance rent you one, + pay you for the work you missed out on getting done. I have seen this work before

Well if u have business now and u must have the truck I would do whatever it takes so if I had to rent one then sue for all that plus like sharp said get back pay all that for anytime missed

check your own insurance company make sure they will not get u one

i told them that and they can get me a truck but they have no clue on where i can get a truck rental with a plow but if u can help that be great. i even called every rental place and they told me no one in their right mind would rent me a truck with a plow

I didn't know about the plow, I would say sub out your work and then sue for the whole amount you would have made, might be enough to buy new truck with plow

I, speaking from experience that IS NOT in your line of work, would give the jobs to other reputable guys in your work for a few weeks (until your truck is ready). Then you need to collect this as lost income to your business through the insurance settlement.

get subs lined up now. If you don't know of any, you should of had a backup plan already in plase for a broken truck when plowing. But since you don't, get a few guys to take on a couple properties each, If you have residetals, rent a truck and blow em. It is better to lose one round to subing then to lose accounts for not getting em done. And get a back up plan.

I hope I'm not breaking forum rules by mentioning Plowsite, but I thought there was a discussion over there about a rental company that did rent pick-ups with plows. Try a search there, United comes to mind but I don't recall for sure the name or what locale. Sounds like theres a real problem with drunks in your town there. I don't know how well you know Mike, but thanks for being there for Kate and him.

I don't plow so I don't know the logistics of it, but would it be possible to rent a small skid steer like an RC30 or something small with rubber tracks? Seems like you'd have much more luck renting a truck and pulling the machine on your trailer. It's more time consuming, but it'd get you through.
