This is something that i have been sorting out lately so i can make a better business plan for my self.

I offer lawn mowing, edging, weeding, bush/shrub pruning, garden preperation (soil preperation, daylilly spliting, bulbs and such) , leaf removal, and general cleanup at $30 drop gate fee includes first hour and $25 an hour after that. additional workers are $30 an hour (hey 2 people are 2.5 times faster that 1 person) I offer gutter cleaning at $25 per 100', Tree trimming and brush removal including blackberries runs about $45 an hour. I also offer bark and mulch installation but have not had a job yet that has not been for a family member so i am not sure yet how to quote it correctly. I am new at the bidding process and doing this professionaly but i have hands on experience and some schooling.

I started out with just the basics. Mowing, trimming, edging and blowing along with some small bush trimming. As I went along I added extra services as I could afford the equipment.

I also do some minor home repair and if I can fit it into the mowing schedule a roof or two. Some of the minor repair I tems are patching walls, replacing door locks, changing out electrical outlets/switches etc.

I have done larger carpentry jobs but I had some good help at the time who have moved and I haven't been able to replace.

I have a back ground in home building and electrical so this is not that difficult for me to do if I have some good help. I am also lucky that I have some good equipment for this that I have picked up over they years. Some of these home improvement jobs can make you some good money but you have to have the equipment.

Small jobs that do not require expensive equipment are minor home repairs like replacing seals on sink faucets, replacing storm doors, replacing door locks, patching holes in drywall, recalking bath tubs and replacing light fixtures.

Patching roofs is a small job to me and I charge a minimum $45 just to put the ladder against the house.
