  • Am I the only one?

Since the temperatures here are on the increase (50s) I figured it was time to put away the snow equipment and bust out the mowers. I was doing the normal maintenance, sharpening blades, cleaning under the deck, greasing the fittings and decided I was going to give the mowers a bath. Next thing I know Im out there waxing the equipment. Felt kinda funny, waxing a lawn mower but Ill tell ya what, looks brand new.

Im going to be taking some pictures of the equiment I have and later in the year add some of my account pics to make a portfolio to give to future customers.

Does anyone else do this? Wax there mowers.

You must be real new at this. You'll find that, when productive, you won't have time to wax mowers. A spray off at the local Spot Not after mowing in a wet, rainy day. But, thats about it. Forget the wax.

I disagree. Always take the time to make you and your equipment have the professional look. Make time if you have to.....this is your livelyhood. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Pam. That's what people use when they don't want the mud to stick to their mountain bikes. I bet it'll work real good on your mower too! I personally love my mountain bike with mulitple layers of mud caked on it.

Im not planning on waxing during the cutting season as I too will have no time, but the weather here and cleanups will be starting in about a week or so. Nice day to go out and take care of the maintenance that needed to be done.

I would have to say a good coat of wax would make it easier to keep clean throughout the season

sorry mike, not my intentions. Just thought not only would it make the equipment look nice, but also will help from rusting. Mike, are you getting busy over there yet?

Take your stuff to a self serve car wash, clean the equipment with thier power wash wand and before you run out of time turn the dial to wax. Beats mess'n with paste.

Ahhhh,,,in a round about way. technical dificulties w/ plant material. Weather is breaking quicker than its coming in. Other than that pretty typical,, residentials wont get the bug for a minute. Dont want us there 1 week than they all want us there the next is typically how it works out. Only had really 2 real nice days but the 5 day looks pretty good,, that should get the ball rolling in a couple directions. Right now just alot of edging and phones ringing. Weather stays up we got 2 weeks max to full blast. Like i say,, strap up !!!

Yeah Mike, you're right. I best bet movin' like I have a purpose - it reached sixty warm degrees here today! All we need is a good rain, and mother nature will be a step ahead of me. Yeah... I need to get a move on!
