I am write a business plan so that I can get funding. I live in St Paul/MN. I am wonder what you guys do as well as snow contracts in the winter. There is 5 month period and I am try to work out what I could do in that period. Has anyone got any advice our thoughts on this.

Writing a biz plan to get funding ... may or may not happen ... especially if it's a bank and you have little or no equity in real estate. As to that 5 months off season, that is a substantial amount of time ... snow removal seems the way to go, supplemented by something definite. That's a real long off season. It's almost like you'll need to start two different bizzes ... without the snow removal, that is. You'll need to pound out a lot of man hours in season it seems.
