I wasn't bagging on the volunteers!!!!! I understand some people will still respond in what ever they are wearing. and I once volunteered also, but I always kept a uniform shirt in my truck so as to a least project a proffesional image. I was merely using that as a mental picture for why I require uniforms. Dont think I was trying to degrade Americas Volunteers with the Budweiser comment, I actually borrowed that phrase from an old Volunteer fire chief friend of mine he said it for years trying to relay the "proffesional Image" to all our volunteers. I think it is great that people will drop everything at the ring of the bell for a perfect stranger. I did it for 14 years Volunteer, now I get paid to do it!!! And as for uniforms....wear what you want to wear....as for me and my guys we will look uniform and gooooood!!!!
