2 year contracts

I have noticed some people are getting two yr contracts. Is this common? I was thinking of doing the same and offerring a 5-10% on a 2 yr commitment! What do you guys think?????

This is not uncommon where I am. Almost half of my customers have 2 year contracts. They DO like the discounts of signing for 2 years. I usually do around a 12-13% discount if they sign a 2 year. I would say go for it! Keep up the good work and at the end of that 2 years, and if you are not tired of the customer, they might sign for another 2 years...GO FOR IT MAN!

Be very careful because if your contract has a 30 day cancelation period like most due, they can cancel you after the first year and find another sucker to give them a 10% or whatever discount. I would say stick to one year. If you do a good job, your customers should want your services the next year anyways. Skip the discounts, all you are doing is cutting your self short.

Make sure you don't need to get out of the contract 90 days is a long time.
