  • Help me score some points!

I picked up a bid-packet today and the bid is rewarded on points.
    25% Price
    30%Equipment
    25% References
    10%Experience
    10% Number of Employees
So if your equipment looks good thats the most important. This company has 15 sites none of which are huge probally average 1 1/2-2 hrs tops. So I need some pics of good Equipment and nice truck and trailer. I also need to borrow some extra employees. I 've got references and I started mowing when I was 11yrs old now I'm 32 can I count it? 21 yrs

They are not looking to see how shiny new your equipment is -LOL!!, they are looking to see if you will be able to fulfill your obligations to service the contracts efficiently.

I have placed several bids that ask for an equipment list. They are looking to make sure that you will have a back up when your number #1 and #2 machines go down.

Bottom line is they are looking for a diversified contractor with enough of an arsenal so there can be no qualms about why an acct hasnt received services yet.

Oh yeah, I forgot one other VERY important aspect. if you list your equipment like this:
      (2) 2003 1-ton 4wd dumps
      (1) Kubota 4wd tractor
      (1) gehl skidder
      (3) 60” mid-mount riders
      (3) 52” walk behind mowers
      (2) 48” walk behind mowers
      (2) 36” walk behind mowers
      (4) line trimmers
      (4) stick edgers
      (3) back pack blowers
      (2) walk behind edgers
      (1) bed shaper
      (5) gas hedge trimmers

Your insurance information had better show each piece of equipment listed as covered, otherwise you will be in default of your proposal and removed from the list to bid in the future and could face perjury charges for wrongfully submitting a document.

Its basically part of the NON-COLLUSIVE CERTIFICATION

            Zeke,
Is it really your intention to submit photos of some other guys equipment??? And your wanting to borrow some employees??? Surely this must be a joke and I'm just missing the punch line.
