Around here, most everyone has trailers. Seascape uses cabovers up in Columbus I think.

Which type to use depends mostly on the situation.

A truck and trailer are seperable, and the truck has independent uses beyond the trailer. (Hauling mulch for example). However a truck and trailer are more difficult for some to manuever. Around here, most houses are in large developments, so parking along the side of the roads or culdesacs isnt a problem.

However, if your area has a lot of congested housing on busy streets, its easier to drive a cabover type truck into a driveway, and then work from there. No backing a trailer in and out all the time. Saves time and money.

A snowplow will work on either type.

The personal use thing is a uniqe problem. If you are going to use a truck for both, it has to be insured for both purposes. You must also keep track of what mileage and expenses are from the result of business activites, so that you can claim that depreciation and expenses on your income taxes. If you have the luxury, use work vehicle for work, and personal vehciles for personal uses. It makes it easier to track, and the irs cant use that against you if you are audited.
