  • is fertilizer the same as pesticide?

    i know in nj that you need a pesticide app and liscence but do you need them to lay fertilizer to? does anyone know? i thought fert was allowed with out a licesnce?

    It is in ohio. You must have a main pesticide license, and an amendment to cover things like turf, ornamental beds, rodents, etc.

        You don't need a license for just fertilizer here where I live. That means though that the fert cannot have weed killer in it. Every county is different though. Check with your local county extension office.

          You can spread fertilizer here in WI w/o a license. Weed & Feed products contain pesticdes and Round-Up IS a pesticide. I've heard the question "I only wanna spray R/U, do I need a license?" Hell ya!
