    I am getting alot of customer wanting areas seeded. I am looking at a slit seeder. What is the best way to charge for this.

      Yea, I do the service. "Turfco" which sells one, offers the following guideline: $245 per 7000sf. You may have to make adustments to this to fit your situation. Figure out how much seed you need per 1000sf; labor cost; overhead expense-truck/trailer, gas, machine, etc; desired profit.

      For my area, that price is a little low, but close.

        Stephen M. thanks for your reply, i will have to look at my numbers. Since i didnt get alot of replies i wonder how much work you can get out of this area. Seems alot of my customer are looking for people to do this but it just could be that most people charge more then they can afford.

          I did 8 of them today,I charged your basic 50 x 100 lot $250 for the job and the bigger size lots $350 - $500 Thats with Starter and lime. I look at the job and decide what i want to make and thats what i charge. I do the same thing with clean ups and trimming.
