As most of you know, this is my first year in lawn service....
I am the greatest at mowing, edging, mulching, trimming, etc.... but that's as far as my specialties go.....LoL.... And as limited as that may sound, I have been keeping extremely busy...YAAAY!
Anyway....I had a customer come up to me this morning holding a picture she cut out of a magazine. It was an ad for Zoysia grass plugs. Of course the picture showed this amazingly deep-green-better-than-a-golf-course lawn.
Now we're in Tennessee and all the lawns here are about the same. Couldn't tell you what kind of grass it is but it's dandelion heaven and I can cut it like nobody's business....hehehehehe
but apparently you can just transplant these plugs into your own lawn and in about 3-4 seasons have the exact same grass seen in the picture (Imagine that)
I'm thinking, if it was that simple everyone would be doing it.....
Could someone please educate me on these Zoysia plugs?

Thanks Guys (and Gals).....You're all great!

I have a couple of zoysia lawns and they are nice and easy to maintain.
Zoisia is a slow growing grass so I would rocommend sodding. It is also a very expensive grass. I purchased 2 pallets and it was 250 if I picked it up. There are several diffent types of zoysia and I got the myers 57. I think emerald is a new variety but dont know much about it. Go to your county extensioners office and they will have alot of free info on most types of grass.
