    I am new at this stuff and some help would be great. I have a problem with moss growing near a pool. I Have ripped the moss out limed it and reseeded the area and the grass comes in great. After awhile the moss returns. Any help would be great.

    Continue the lime priodically. Try to think,,, how long did it take to grow back? Cut that time in half,,, say it was 90 days....... so do a lime application every 45 days to keep your ph balanced. Or,,, check your ph ever 30 days and run lime apps accordingly.Also something tells me its a shaded area,,, try to thin the trees to allow more light in. Even just a little may help.

      Here's a little trick I learned, and used on the golf course. A solution of 1 part Dawn detergent (regular, not ultra) to 4 parts water. Spray when the sun is out, and repeat every 7 to 10 days, for 2 or 3 apps. This will burn the moss right out.
