Really sharp blades?!

Was reading thru a post below and some coment was made about "razor sharp blades". I was wondering how sharp do you make your blades? I sharpen mine razor sharp also. I use a hand grinder, I very seldom make a "blue spot". They cut excellent! When I get a new set, i'll leave them that way but when it comes time to sharpen them the 1st time they get "the edge". Lately(have been covering alot of ground in a day) I've been changing out blades evry other day. Naturally, the wlkbehinds don't cover that much ground so, they go a little longer.
Seems there are several opinions on this issue.

I have heard the "temper" arguement for years. I sharpen to a razor sharp edge. They last very well thru the day AND thru the year. Sharpening often means you are only "touching up" the blade instead of an hour of grinding.

The trick to keeping blades in good shape is to not hit anything with them. Your employees should pick up all sticks, debris, etc.

If I am only mowing grass then its the razors edge for the blades.

What do you mean by "hand grinder" and how do you use it...I've used my brothers 6inch bench grinder but was never really satisfied...

4" hand held, electric grinder. Stick a blade in the vise and away ya go. If ya make a burr off the back edge just run a file down it, it comes off in like 2 swipes.
