A lady called me today asking for me to come and trim her house and surroundings and edge her walks. She stated her husband does all the mowing but does not have the equipment for the other services. The house is a corner lot with a side walk around the front and side. Trimming included the house, 2 beds and 2 trees and a patio. I was thinking of charging 35.00. The walks have never been edged. What do you think?

35 per month sounds reasonable.
However, be sure to get paid for this first time. You will have to spade probably 3-4 inches of growth. Id expect a couple hours work, plus having to do something with what comes off.
You may want to consider using round-up on the overgrowth to make things easier.
But for the first time, at least 80-100 bucks to get it into shape.

If the walks haven't been edged, I'm with the other guys: charge accordingly. I did an initial edging on a property for about 350' of walk. It took me 2 hours with stick edger incl. clean up. Without seeing the property I can't say for sure but it is probably too low a price for initial edging and trimming. After that, it might be a fair price.
