  • noise level of a 15 hp kawasaki

Does anyone know where I can find the decible rating of a 15 hp Kaw engine on a 36" wright stander. Its not in the specifications anywhere. Have a customer whos crabby neighbor is complaining about the noise of the mowers, they have complained against every lawn service she has had. I am just curious if I am under 90 decibels. By the way the mower is new bought it this year.

    Thanks

just look at the neighbor with your finger in your nose and your head shaking and make weird noises , then start slapping yourself and then say what can i do for you jack? you don't mind if i call you jack , do you? that should solve the problem. lol

Let the neighbor *****, there is no lawn mower noise level law where you are from is there? Here in good ol' VA there's not unless you are mowing at midnite then you should take a closer look at your operation and mow when everybody else does! Give the old battleaxe some ear plugs and don't sweat the small stuff. After all, that's what the neighbor does all the time is ***** about something.

You're considering a purchase based on a non customers potential complaint?

              You're in the wrong business.

(Nothing says you have to dial the motor RPM up as high as it will go, producing the highest noise it could......) If it gets cut at lower RPM, and doesn't affect your bottom line, then you are a consceintious service provider. If it makes the ususal amount of noise- it isn't your fault.

Sounds like the neighbor a chronic complainer...

They've already set the scenario complaining about all the other lawn service companies before you. Make sure you have the engine set at the Manufactures Specified RPM's & let her Rip! KaPow!

Just skip all this BLA BLA BLA...

We are growing into a society of chronic complainers & as time goes on, it "Will Get Worse" basically because most can't afford the crappy lifestyle they live...

They have learned watching others Cry & Why about everything, most do it because they've seen them do it at the Big Box Stores and they get their money back or they get another new one which they don't deserve, In this case you will find out they probably can't afford a lawn service due to them making poor investment decisions.

Either way in our Fast Growing Society of Crying & Whining Customers Today you will find out that for about every 10% of increase in customers, your complaints will increase 30%.

That's why it's so important to reduce your customer base & increase the amount of dollars made per customer? It's a no Brainer...

                MO Money, Less Customers.

Do you want 5 customers that you can make $50 each
                or
Do you want 2 customers that you can make $100 each?

I opt for the 2 customers at $100 each!

I had a great customer that paid me good, but their neighbor constantly complained about everything, from noise to how we parked. I found out later that the neighbor was gone most of the afternoon on Thursdays. That problem was solved.

I had another customer that had a live in Father in Law that constantly held us up complaining about how we did things & was always trying to show us how to do it no matter how wrong he was...

After about the 4th trip there, I sent the customer a note with the bill telling them that either the Father in Law was going to have to stop holding us up or I was going to Double the Fees! They dropped me, problem eliminated.

Life is too short dealing with constant crap, So just figure how much money you are putting into your pocket after operating expenses & ask your self is it worth it?

Solve it or Eliminate it, dealing & living with a constant problem will shorten your life, People & or Money are not worth it and never will be.

My advice.....Get a louder mower!! Make the neighbor suffer.....If she's not payin' you, why should she have any say in what your Business does?

                      thanks guys

From my question I see that you guys got the wrong idea. I am not considering a purchase around engine noise, I already own the mower and am very happy with it. I just wanted to know because the noise ordinance is 90 decibles in the area where I mow this account. All my equipment is very well maintained so I know I should be within guidlines I just wanted to know, for my own documentation in case things get worse. I could care less about the neighbors, they haven't said a word to me but they are harassing my customer. She is pretty annoyed with them, as long as I not violating any law screw them. I 100% agree with grassmaster's reply couldn't of been said better
