Am I being unreasonable??

I recently did a big weeding job around a house and charged the $35 an hour, I knew how long it would take me roughly and added an hour. When I gave the customer My estimate for the job he said so you are making 35 an hour to pull weeds I said no the cost of running a business is 35 an hour, i explained insurance, expenses, etc.. and he had no problem with it. This included no round up because spraying round up on dirt is not effective!

I should say, depending on your market 35 is a moderate to low figure but it is competitive in my market, depends on your circumstances etc.. Tough call with old ladies, sometimes cost you more than you make.
