help with used mower

Hello,
I have a question, im looking at buying a walk behind for my buisness. I found an add in the paper, a 52 inch Exmark hydro walk behind is for sale. He is asking 900 for it. I dont know the hours on the mower itself but he did put a new kawisaki engine in it. It was made in 1987, and also he says that it needs some new berrings, and other stuff, that would probably be another $200 in parts. He says he did use it commercially but he got out of the buisness and is moving in 2 days. So he wants it sold FAST. This means i could probably bring the price down even more. Anyways, is this a good buy?

1987 is real old for a mower new engine or not. There are other things that wear out too such as spindles, tires, decks (not as much but they take a lot of abuse) hydro system, etc. It may be worth it for you to buy if you don't mind fixing it when it breaks down. If you will be busy then it may cost you quite a bit in down time.
